Donor Opportunities

The Dubois County Community Foundation provides a unique vehicle for addressing the charitable needs of our community while allowing donors great flexibility in fulfilling their philanthropic goals. Donors may designate gifts to an unrestricted endowment, a field-of-interest endowment, a donor-advised endowment, a designated endowment, an agency endowment, an administrative endowment, any of the foundation's existing endowment funds, or to the general operating fund.

Administrative Endowment - Administrative endowments provide support to Dubois County Community Foundation, Inc., to carry out its role and mission to serve the community.

Agency Endowment - Any nonprofit organization may have its own fund for the benefit of that organization, which may be established by the organization itself or by an individual donor for that organization.

Designated Endowment - The donor directs the Community Foundation to disburse the fund's income to a specific, named organization or purpose in perpetuity.

Donor-Advised Endowment - The donor actively participates in the grantmaking process by recommending to the Community Foundation the purpose and/or organizations to which the fund's income may be directed.

Field-of-Interest Endowment - The donor directs the Community Foundation to utilize the fund's income in a certain program area such as education, health, youth, the environment, etc., without limiting grants to any one organization serving that field.

Unrestricted Endowment - The donor allows the Community Foundation the discretion to use the fund's income for a broad range of community issues, allowing the Foundation to respond to changing community needs.
